Dr Watson studied at the University of Queensland, completing a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and then Bachelor of Medicine, graduating in 2011. The foundation of her specialty training was on the Sunshine Coast, and she gained further tertiary experience the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and regionally in Hervey Bay. During her training, she achieved the highest national score in the RANZCOG Oral Examination, receiving the Award for Outstanding Achievement. She completed her RANZCOG Fellowship in February 2022 with advanced training modules in Hysteroscopic and Laparoscopic Surgery, Pelvic Floor Disorders and Colposcopy. She was employed full time as a staff specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital following fellowship. She opened her private practice in gynaecology in 2024.
