During your initial appointment, Dr Watson will talk to you about your symptoms and concerns. Sometimes a pelvic examination will be a recommended part of your appointment, for example if you have been referred with an abnormality on your cervical screening test. For some concerns, such as pelvic pain, an examination may not be necessary, or we may choose to avoid this to not exacerbate your symptoms. We can still proceed with management options. It is important to know that any examination is your choice, and that Dr Watson will only proceed if you feel comfortable.
Please bring the following with you to your first visit:

You may be recommended to have surgery as part of the management of your condition. Dr Watson operates at Buderim Private Hospital, located here.
We will provide you with a quote for your procedure, and instructions on how to obtain a quote for the hospital and anaesthetist fees. If you have private health insurance, a portion of these fees may be covered but it is important to check with your provider. If you are having major surgery, a dedicated surgical assistant who works regularly with Dr Watson will also attend. The surgical assistant fees are billed together with the surgical fees. There are no additional fees for inpatient consultations during your hospital stay.
If a follow-up appointment is required after your surgery, the cost of this has been already covered by your procedure fee.
